The Louisville Clock Restoration Project:

This famous Louisville landmark was created by Barney Bright. It stands 42 feet tall and 30 feet wide. It is comprised of 5 figures that ran a track everyday at noon. It sat abandoned for over 15 years dismantled and in a scrap yard. We have undertaken the restoration, to find out more or to volunteer click here.

Louisville Zoo Carousel:
As part of a $1,000,000 capital project we are very proud to have donated this wonderful and historic carousel to the Louisville Zoo for the enjoyment of the community. Built in 1919 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. This wood carousel stands 2 1/2 stories tall and 52 feet in diameter. It is one of only 84 large grand wood park machines know to still exist. It took 5 people working two years full time to restore the carousel. The restoration was directed by Todd Goings in Marion, Ohio. We bought the carousel from it's original owner, Clementon Amusement Park, where it ran for 76 consecutive years (even during the depression). It is housed in a 4 story pavillion at the front entrance of the Louisville Zoo.

The Adam Matthews Balloon Festival founded in 1999 grew to the largest balloon festival in the State of Kentucky and one of the largest in the United States. In 2007 the Festival was sold for $1 to the Spirit of Kentucky Foundation to allow it to continue to grow and prosper allowing us to focus on our community driven projects.

During our 8 year run we were proud to have contributed proceeds to these charities...

  • The Dream Factory
  • Make A Wish Foundation
  • Spina Bifida
  • The Louisville Zoo
  • The Crusade for Children
  • The Louisville Clock Restoration
  • Emily's AT Fund
